In North and East Kalimantan (NK & EK, respectively), GGGI is implementing various activities in Sustainable Landscapes, Renewable Energy and Urban Development but is primarily focused on delivering the nature-based solutions for climate-smart livelihood in mangrove landscapes (NASCLIM) that will commence in April 2023.In close collaboration with NASCLIM management team, the Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) Specialist will ensure appliance of Global Affairs Canada (GAC) and GGGI standards for GESI. They will coordinate and collaborate with key private, government and community institutions across jurisdictions from national, province, district to village levels in EK and NK, especially the Village Management Unit and Womens' Field Schools (WFS) as well as Coastal Field Schools (CFS) for NASCLIM. Working with NASCLIM staff and partners. Specifically, they will ensure that the trifecta of governance, access to resources and rights complies with GAC and GGGI principles at planning, implementation, evaluation and learning stages of NASCLIM, and that these be well reflected in the NASCLIM's Performance Measurement Framework (PMF). The first part of their duties will contribute to the preparation of the Project Implementation Plan (PIP).
