About the Head of Supply Chain Role:
As the new Head of Supply Chain, you will be responsible for the overall strategic direction, as well as the tactical execution, of all aspects of supply chain operations. This includes all supply expense management, procurement, distribution, customer service and supporting technology.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute continuous improvement programmes for all supply chain functions with the goal to standardise and optimise procurement, distribution and facility-based supply chain activities
Manage supply chain department budgets
Coordinate capital budget plan with hospital and system leadership
Develop strategy for optimising and developing additional shared services based on the strategic plan
Develop and execute regional and business diversity contracting plan
Develop supply cost management plan
Develop and implement comprehensive value analysis processes for the system and facilities
Make strategic recommendations and executes a course of action for all elements of supply expense management and supply chain operations
Interact and develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders to better understand needs and challenges which may include clinicians, physicians, hospital, and system leadership
Track and analyse financial data and operational data/metrics
Develop standardised documents, processes, and calculations for use by the team to quantify savings solutions
To succeed in this role, you must have 10 or more years of directly related experience in expanding leadership roles.
Key Requirements:
Strong organisational skills, including the ability to plan, implement, and execute
Exceptional time management
Demonstrated ability to develop project plans for major and complex projects
Able to develop milestones for projects to determine outcomes are achieved that includes facilitating customer teams that lead to building consensus and contract implementation
