About the Role
Just as a world without rules would result in chaos, so would Gojek without someone to guard the boundaries for us to safely experiment. As our Head of Internal Control & Compliance based in Indonesia, you’ll play an integral role within Gojek’s Risk platform. You’ll take the wheel in overseeing end-to-end conceptualization, design, development, execution, and ongoing management of compliance activities within the entire Gojek ecosystem. Leading a troop of talented risk specialists, you’ll ensure compliance with the applicable local laws and regulations, code of conduct, and firm policies and standards of good practice. Additionally, you’ll also manage compliance procedures development, process improvement initiatives, and enhancing existing controls. What You Will Do
Carry out compliance-related activities and ensure compliance with the applicable local laws, rules, regulations, standards, code of conduct, and firm policies and standards of good practice
Establish and review policies and procedures, and assess and interpret the potential impact of new laws and regulations on our business
Develop, maintain, and implement the group compliance program, including the compliance policies and guidelines, documentation, training logs, and related policies/procedures
Provide adequate oversight to ensure the company has an effective control environment to minimize compliance risks
Work closely with various stakeholders (i.e Legal, Business teams) to identify enhancements in compliance processes and lead the implementation of these system changes
Develop training materials and regularly sensitize senior management, relevant employees, and business partners regarding key compliance risks
Ensure compliance with all relevant Anti-Bribery & Corruption regulations, laws, and group policies
Assist in investigating and reporting any breach of law or regulations where appropriate and follow up on resolutions
Provide advice, guidance, and ongoing training to staff on the appropriate implementation of compliance framework, including policies and procedures such as those contained in the Compliance Manual, internal codes of conduct, and practice guidelines
Advise various units/ departments of any implications of new regulations/ regulatory changes, and provide guidance on the proper and prompt implementation of procedures to comply with the requirements
Prepare and submit periodic reports about compliance
What You Will Need
At least 10 years of relevant experience in compliance / internal controls management; experience in a similar industry is a plus
Deep understanding of compliance and internal control governance and framework, with relevant knowledge in establishing and implementing policies and procedures within the company
Strong communication skills and ability to deliver clear presentations to interact with broad ranges of audiences or stakeholders with different background
Ability to empathize and collaborate with various senior stakeholders from other functional teams
Strong analytical abilities and structured thought process in order to make relevant policies
Experience using technology such as data analytic tools to analyze and monitor potential risks is preferred
Ability to effectively network within the industry and the businesses
