Country Legal Counsel

A multinational electronics manufacturing company is seeking a Country Legal Counsel in Jakarta. In this job, you will report to the regional Legal Counsel.
About the Country Legal Counsel Role:

Key Responsibilities:
Draft, review and negotiate contracts with vendors, supplier and other third parties
Advise on legal issues and risks related to compliance (e.g. around anti-bribery and data privacy), approval processes, company policies and procedures, IP and business strategy; advise on labour-related matters
Identify and address risks and issues in the local daily business operations; mitigate risk while fully appreciating the commercial opportunity presented by the transaction
Manage and maintain legal relationship and communication with global affiliates
Provide corporate governance in an effective an efficient manner

To succeed in this Country Legal Counsel role, you should be able to demonstrate a good understanding of legal knowledge and expertise into business environment.

Key Requirements:
Bachelor of Laws and a minimum of 7 - 10 years' experience as a corporate lawyer at a reputable private practice firm and in-house legal practitioner (desirable)
Competence as a lawyer; ability to manage workload in a dynamic environment
Legal with a commercial sound with ability to challenge results, provide solution and form justifiable assumptions for the business
Experience in development, manufacture and sale of information equipment environment preferred
