About the Role As our Business Intelligence Analyst, you will be an instrumental part of the Merchant Payment based in Jakarta, Indonesia. Collaborating with the Business and Product teams, you’ll focus your efforts on supporting the analytics and data products (automated dashboards, reports, alerts, and simulation tools) which aim to create business impact at scale. Specifically, you’ll conduct general analysis on each new feature/product, dive deep into understanding customer behavior insights to make sound business decisions, and provide data visualizations to track the overall performances. Your efforts will aid GoPay at a level of detail that enables our stakeholders to identify and address critical issues, and align deliverables according to the team’s priorities and requirements. What You Will Do Own sub-problem definitions, and reframe and define them into analytical problems Provide a roadmap and technical solutions (such as library or potential algorithm to use) for simple analytical problems Work effectively using project management framework and tools (scrum, kanban) Communicate impact of the analysis to related stakeholders in the appropriate format Create high-impact dashboards that addresses product/business needs Perform data processing using commonly used libraries and tools Understand the company's strategic direction/ product strategy, and know how your work contributes to this as a whole What You Will Need At least 3 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics, or other related roles that require strong analytical skills, problem-solving, and business acumen (preferably from payment/ fintech industry) Expert in advanced SQL and data visualization (e.g. Tableau and Metabase) Strong statistical knowledge; ability to independently select and implement the correct statistical test to answer business question Strong R/Python skills to perform advanced analysis (i.e. hypothesis testing, predictive model, clustering, classification) Knowledge of machine learning algorithms Ability to use critical thinking to manage daily tasks while being goal-oriented About the Team The Merchant Platform team is a big group of over 50 team members based across Singapore and Indonesia. The gist of our role is to create an ecosystem of solutions to support our merchant-partners on the Gojek platform better manage and grow their business, while enabling both internal and external product stakeholders to develop merchant-based solutions in a sustainable manner.Our merchant-partners are one of the core stakeholders in our Gojek ecosystem; they’re involved in various offerings such as food delivery, offline payment acceptance, POS, financial services, deals, and promotions. As the Merchant Platform team, we work closely with our merchant-partners to understand their daily needs and concerns, and relay these insights to our internal product stakeholders to build platforms and interfaces on our mobile apps that ensure our merchant-partners’ success on the Gojek platform.We’re a tight-knit, high-functioning team who genuinely love what we do, as we can see the results of our efforts play out in our merchant-partners’ everyday lives.
