ASEAN comprises ten (10) countries in Southeast Asia. It was proclaimed a community through the "Kuala Lumpur Declaration on ASEAN 2025: Forging Ahead Together", signed by the ASEAN Leaders during their 27th Summit 2015. The ASEAN Community Vision 2025 calls for the ASEAN Community in forging ahead together, and to work towards building a community that is politically cohesive, economically integrated and socially responsible.The ASEAN Secretariat was established in 1976 by the Foreign Minister of ASEAN with basic functions of providing greater efficiency in the coordination of ASEAN organs and for more effective implementation of ASEAN projects and activities. It is also envisioned to be the nerve centre of a strong and confident ASEAN Community that is globally respected for acting in full compliance with its Charter and in the best interest of its people.**Remuneration and Benefits**:**Responsibilities**- Provide technical assistance to ASEAN's digital outreach efforts:- Develop and implement a cohesive social media strategy aligned ASEAN values and ASEAN Communication Master Plan- Create and curate high-quality, engaging content across multiple social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube- Work closely with graphic designer to diversify contents using various visual medium, such as carousel, short videos, infographic etc. to enhance engagement.- Coordinate with other divisions and relevant stakeholders for needed social media support.- Schedule and publish content at optimal times to maximise engagement and reach.- Monitor and analyse social media statistics; recommend necessary actions; and provide regular report.- Develop short videos to be featured in social media.- Generate social media campaign to support ASEAN initiatives and increase awareness.- Purchase paid post or social media advertisement as appropriate.- Support event coverage and media liaison as needed.- Provide immediate support in reporting ASEAN activities.- Coordinate with Office of Secretary-General in publishing Secretary-General engagement in Facebook and Twitter- Coordinate with relevant desk and stakeholders in providing pictures to support the content.- Provide support to other projects/initiatives as directed by the Division or Directorate.**Qualifications**- Bachelor's Degree in Communications, International Relations, Social Sciences, or other relevant fields;- Familiarity with diplomatic practices and protocol, and experience in dealing with senior government and international organisation officials.- Knowledge and experience of social media is a must.- Proven excellence in written and spoken English, notwithstanding the use of local language may be required when interacting with the local partners and stakeholders.- Ability to think strategically to use communication tools to achieve agreed objectives.- Ability to express thoughts clearly, accurately, and succinctly in writing; and ability to express thoughts orally in clear, concise, and accurate manner; and ability to communicate information and ideas in front of and audience.- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills- Sound understanding and knowledge of ASEAN ideals and a keen interest and initiative to learn them.- Exposure to a wide spectrum of corporate affairs, community relations and public communications in past work experiences and ability to develop and maintain sound working relationship with various stakeholders.- Sensitivity to accuracy and details.- Ability and technical skills to research and acquire data.- Ability to work under pressing deadlines.- Computer literacy and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office tools.- Ability to multi-task and perform tasks outside the usual job scope.- Ability to function effectively, independently and as part of a team.- Availability for travel.
