Tooling Engineer

Job Description

The Tooling Engineer will be based in Batam, Indonesia. Responsible to design and develop of jigs and fixtures in-house to support production activities and support on the new in-house development tooling and manufacturing.

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:
Responsible to maintain the existing tooling repair, maintenance, analyze and troubleshoot the mechanical assembly problems

Support all first article inspection requirements for tooling, prototyping, and PPAP events as part of the design lifecycle

Responsible to maintain the spare part for tooling and drive the tooling team on daily activities

Responsible for the maintain the Tooling life-cycle and replenishment and manage outside vendors with on-time and on-budget delivery of tooling components when required

Develop innovative solutions for tooling fabrication and assembly using proven and simple automations and fastening techniques

Work as part of a fast-paced design engineering team taking part in DFMEAs, PFMEAs, and other risk management events

Review and critique 2D drawings and develop and manage tooling specifications, interact with buyer for purchase activities and maintain the tooling budget

Other relevant ad-hoc task as assigned
Here is some of what you’ll need (required):
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in similar capacity

Good understanding on New Product Introduction and Ramp-Up activity

Excellent analytical and communication skill
