EGSA has three objectives: i) enabling evidence-based decision making through ongoing analysis that links together the United State Government's Indo-Pacific Strategy (IPS), Journey to Self-Reliance (J2SR), and Government of Indonesia (GOI) priorities (CDCS); (ii) improving Government of Indonesia (GOI technical capacity in tax collection, public expenditure, and financial accountability; and (iii) improving the business enabling environment for foreign and domestic business entities.To achieve the first objective of the project, USAID EGSA is seeking a Statistician to support the project in conducting research and produce thematic analysis on the Indonesian economy and other topics relevant to USAID Indonesia's interest.**Responsibilities**:The Statistician Specialist is expected to:1. Collect secondary data and perform comprehensive analyses across diverse sectors to show trends, patterns, and factors, addressing research inquiries tasked by EGSA.3. Integrate data from multiple sources, conduct analysis, and present visualizations to effectively address EGSA's research inquiries.Qualifications:- An advanced degree in economics, statistics, or related fields.- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience for PhD holders, 12 years for Master's degree holders, and 15 years for Bachelor's degree holders.- Strong analytical abilities, including the capacity to analyze raw data, draw insights, and effectively visualize data.- Demonstrated expertise in extracting and analyzing data across economic, social, and other sectors- Familiarity and access to comprehensive datasets sourced from the Statistics Indonesia, Ministries, and Agencies, coupled with a deep understanding of data coverage across diverse sectors.- Proven track record of project management in statistical analysis or research within relevant environments, showcasing adeptness in handling and interpreting large, complex datasets.- Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and English, written and verbal.Deliverables, Level of Effort, Schedule:**EXPECTED DELIVERABLES AND LEVEL OF EFFORT (LOE)****Output****Expected LOE (days)**Compilation of dataset on sectors/topics requested by EGSA7Recommendation of data sets and research methodology for analysis sought by EGSA7Clean datasets, analysis, and visualization on topics requested by EGSA6**TOTAL****2**0**The Specialist will submit his/her invoice monthly along with output produced and monthly progress report as attachments to the invoice.
