KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage day to day workshop activities related to maintenance and repair of Construction equipment. Carry out receiving inspection / assess condition of all equipment returning from sites. Prepare repair estimates & discuss with Plant Manager for cost effective refurbishment. Plan & execute cost effective repairs on approved equipment. Ensure optimum utilization of available resources. Maintain and prepare Construction equipment to ensure that they are in good & safeto Operate condition. Carry out Final inspection for equipment being mobilized to Projects. Provide effective back up support services & spares to Construction Equipment Superintendent at Projects. Coordinate with Construction Equipment Superintendent and ensure periodical reports are being sent to workshop. Inspect and segregate the defective Project materials for disposal action. Execute Container modification jobs such as Dry stores / Office room/ tools storage / Valve testing containers , as requested by Project team and approved by Plant Manager. Ensure HSSE norms are strictly adhered in entire workshop activities. Conduct toolbox meetings to educate technicians on all aspects of safety and discipline. Carry out any other duties as requested by direct Supervisor. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: Diploma in Engineering or Vocational training certificate
12 to 15 years hands on experience in Maintenance and repair of Heavy construction equipment
Excellent working knowledge of Construction Equipment functions, application , and safety features etc.
