IOM Indonesia isengaged in several thematic areas, including: Counter-Trafficking, Labour Migration/LabourMobility and Social Inclusion (CT-LM/LMSI), Disaster, Climate and Resilience (DCR),Immigration and Border Governance (IBG), Refugee Care, Migration Health, Migration Policyand Data, and Resettlement and Voluntary Returns.#The Immigration and Border Governance (IBG) Unit supports relevant Governmental authoritiesin enhancing their capacities to manage borders efficiently in a coordinated and integrated way,via extensive training programme for immigration officers on various technical topics, policysupport, initiatives related to Humanitarian Border Management (HBM) and cross bordercooperation with neighbouring countries.Under the direct supervision of the Chief of Mission, the Senior Immigration and BorderGovernance (IBG) Programme Coordinator will be responsible for leading the mission's IBGprogramme, including strategic planning and strategy development; identification of priorityareas and action plans; relationship building with Government, donor and technical partners;fundraising; and overseeing programme implementation by the IBG team.**_ Core Functions / Responsibilities:_**1. Act as the IBG expert resource for the IOM Country Office in Indonesia by leading allprogramming and Country Office consultations relevant to the IBG portfolio, including areasrelated to border management, travel and identity documents, biometrics, training andorganizational development for government capacity building, and related areas.2. Guide and supervise Country Office staff and consultants working in the IOM Indonesia IBGProgram portfolio including all programmatic aspects, notably technical, legal andoperational/security components ensuring close cooperation with all partners, guiding projects toimplementation, ensuring timely donor reporting and donor/partner visibility in consideration ofdonor guidelines for visibility.3. Lead in the development, implementation and monitoring of IOM Indonesia's IBG portfoliogrowth, taking into account Government strategic priorities in the policy areas of Immigrationand Border Management. Link and seek synergies between the Country Office strategy andIOM's regional and global IBG strategies, relevant strategies of other UN agencies, anddonor/partners' national, regional and trans-regional strategies.4. Ensure development and delivery of quality thematic training/workshops for Government ofIndonesia (GoI) as required by project outcomes. Help ensure responsive and professionaltechnical support to GoI through, among other activities, development and provision ofinformation resources and training, border and migration management assessments, andrelated activities.5. Identify the support needed for legislative, policies and procedures enhancements in variousaspects connected to immigration and border management.6. Take the lead in the discussions and actively provide technical inputs to the finalisation andimplementation of the IOM/Directorate General of Immigration (DGI) Roadmap.7.
