Room ControllerHotel Overview: Situated in Senayan Square at the South end of Jakarta's Central Business District, Fairmont Jakarta will feature 380 spacious guestrooms and 108 Fairmont branded suites. Additional features and amenities to the urban hotel include a number of lounges and several restaurants featuring a variety of culinary offerings. For corporate events and local galas, the hotel features 3,500 square meters of function space, including a 1,200 square meter ballroom.
Summary of Responsibilities: Reporting to the Front Office Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Ensuresmooth check-in and check-out of all guests, through properly handlingroom assignment for VIP Guest, FIT and Group
- Assign room based on preference, ACDC Profile and group requirements. Work closely with Sales team to determine the room preference.
- Highlightthe VIP and suite paying booking and prioritize the room assignment,especially the Suite Night Upgrade.
- Review all group resume and ensure room blocked based on the request. Involve in the Group arrangement, greet the group upon their arrival and coordinate with the group leader/Organizer in regards to room assignment concerns.
- Beprepared to perform all Front Desk functions, especially during busyperiod.
- Prepared room for daily maintenance required for Engineering and Housekeeping team and ensures to track the room maintenance schedule
- Manage the floor closure during low occupancy
- Collaborate with Engineering and Housekeeping for any urgent room blocking required.
Qualifications:
- Proficiencyin English (verbal and written), second language an asset
- Previouscustomer related experience preferred
- PMSOpera experience is a must
- Computerliterate in Microsoft Window applications an asset
- Mustpossess a professional presentation
- Stronginterpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Highlyresponsible & reliable
- Abilityto work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Abilityto work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
