Overview:Maintenance & Turnaround (TA) Engineers act as technical resource for maintenance and operations by optimizing planned and predictive maintenance, resolving plant equipment problems and enabling production of low-cost and quality products. Monitors equipment efficiency against pre-established standards and is responsible for the reliability of equipment; supports production engineers when a piece of equipment fails; helps to implement new equipment.**Responsibilities**:- Identify gaps and charter improvement projects for gap closure in Facility Maintenance Strategy. Maintenance rep on small capital or expense project utilizing GPM where applicable. Ensure critical tolerances, clearances, materials of construction, welding procedures are identified and held during equipment repair/rebuild. Serve on multi-discipline or multi-functional teams.- Lead RCI for unplanned events. Support the PPM coordinator in reviewing spare parts list for existing and new equipment. Participate in on-site and off-site technical support for repairs.- Can extract cost, repair history and process performance data and refine it for analysis.- Is able to drive reliability improvements in accordance with loss prevention principles, material compatibilities.- SME for department maintenance technology. Recognized by plant and maintenance leadership for personal contribution in improving the reliability performance of the plant. Implement maintenance/reliability projects and participate in guiding or facilitating plant turnarounds in area of responsibility.- Use statistical data to identify and prevent/correct reliability issues/upsets. Participate in data collection and resolution of QM's with the Quality Coordinator.- Provide maintenance input to development of PCSD for a given set of unit operations.- Measurable demonstrated reduction in repetitive unplanned events and overall maintenance costs. Lead a project within the network/business. Able to evaluate whether equipment is designed to meet its existing or intended service. Able to assess current installation versus MET and to evaluate benefits. Able to lead on-site and off-site technical support for repairs.- Ensuring that environmental impact aspects and operational controls related to the environment are arranged in the work of the departmentQualifications: Education : Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Applied ScienceExperience : typically eight years of related working experienceKnowledge, Skills & Ability:Proficient ability to coach others in creating/updating/modifying Maintenance procedures. Applies knowledge working with other disciplines to troubleshoot and solve complex technical problems. Coaches others in his/her field of expertise. Anticipates potential problems and takes corrective action. Independent problem solving using formal tools. Identify and charter reliability improvement projects. Demonstrates in-depth competencies and the ability to perform call-out duty on an independent basis in his/her field of expertise, as applicable. Provides expertise across disciplines to work with other disciplines to resolve complex problems.
