We have much room for improvement and many ideas that will further shape the industry.The Cross Border Team is split into 3 main teams, Commercial, Logistics and Business Operations. This role lies within the Logistics Vertical in the Cross Border team, in particular looking after the Sea Freight operations. The Cross Border Logistics team's objective is to build competitive logistics products and customized solutions to support various sales channels in winning deals and growing the business. As a local member of the Cross Border Logistics team, the incumbent will be working closely with Regional Logistics Manager and Project Manager to manage vendor communications, negotiations and ensure operational stability.This role exists with a main objective of bridging the gap between the regional team and the local operations, to ensure that our solutions are well customized to the local environment, taking into account the best practices from other regions. The Logistics Associate is expected to work with various stakeholders, from local operations team, to both local and regional commercial teams in ensuring a balance between the commercial needs and operational constraints.**Responsibilities**:- Oversees overall operational performances of current solutions/products- FCL/FTL Adhoc quotations and execution in a timely manner- Manage Jira queries for export, import restrictions- Follow up closed won deals (eg, Check import/export docs, communicate with supplier on stuffing arrangements and etc,.)- Responsible for placing booking for containers and checking respective shipping schedules- Billing/financial reporting (costing)- Work with the Solution Team to define project scope, goals and deliverables- Understand sales channel's business goals and objectives- Keep abreast of existing solution blockers and opportunities and update Regional PMs- Requirements/Needs Gathering from in-country sales teams and feedback to Regional PMs for decision making- Maintain close relationships with local operations teams and internal stakeholders to ensure operational alignment for FTL/FCL/Adhoc shipments and collaboratively enhance process efficiency- Enhance standard process flow for FTL/FCL/Adhoc shipments with relevant stakeholders: eg. Sales team, Supply team and Local warehouse team- Responsible with monitoring vendor ops performances and key practices for for FCL/Adhoc shipments- Able to bridge and streamline vendor practices against industry market rate and FCL/FTL operations- Maintain updated vendor costs- Maintain preferred vendor listsL2 escalations - liaison with management (internal and external)- Responsible for collating and presenting weekly/monthly performances on costing/quotation process/vendor's capability to stakeholders- Provide updates on initiatives and projects managed- Establish visibility on key deliverables and KPIs**Requirements**:- Min. 1 - 2 years in logistics/cross border experience- Bachelor's Degree in any related field- Detail oriented- Excellent communication skills to communicate with stakeholders- Strong analytical skills- Working knowledge of Google Suite (Sheets, Slides and Docs)- Self-starter attitude and able to work with mínimal supervision- Responsibility and accountability- Language proficiency in English and Bahasa. Proficiency in Mandarin is a plus.
