Job Description Manage all activities of the Quality Assurance/Food Safety department in a manner which results in consistent food safety results as measured through the company matrix and regulatory mandates.Develop, document and implement Quality Assurance and HACCP processes/ procedures to monitor incoming raw materials, in-process and finished products to ensure compliance to all regulatory and company requirements and specificationsEnsure that the Quality Assurance department is properly organised, staffed and trained to meet and achieve plant and departmental goalsPerform as plant contact person for sales and customer issuesManage the activities of the Quality Assurance department in a manner that keeps plant and upper management fully informed on any issues and assists in achieving quality/food safety goalsDevelop a professional working relationship and act as a plant liaison with USDA staff.Enforce corporate food safety and quality programs and maintain the required documentation and provide continuing education of plant associates as required. The Successful Applicant Bachelor of Science or Engineering degree from four-year universityAt least four to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Certified in BRC, FDA, GMP, HACCP and FSMS-ISO the latest version 22000, QMS ISO 9001 and laboratory microbiology chemistry based on ISO 17025At least three years of working experience as a QA Manager in food manufacturing industryKnowledge and understanding of food processing requiredMust have or complete certification status as Certified Food Safety Manager or equivalentMust have experience in frozen foodMust be fluent in English (written and spoken)Understanding of management principles and team conceptsUnderstanding of further processing is a plusMust be willing to relocate to Medan
