PT FWD Insurance Indonesia ("FWD Insurance"), a joint-venture insurance company and a part of FWD Group, previously known as PT Commonwealth Life, has successfully merged with PT FWD Life Indonesia ("FWD Life") as of 1 December 2020 and will be known as FWD Insurance.The merger of FWD Life and FWD Insurance has led to a more comprehensive range of products, including unit-linked insurance, individual & group term life insurance, individual & group personal accident insurance, and group medical insurance through technology driven-distributions such as agency, bancassurance, e-commerce, and corporate.FWD Insurance is registered and supervised under Otoritas Jasa Keuangan ("OJK").FWD Insurance is a member of Indonesia Financial Services Alternative Dispute Resolution Center.Legal Counselor Manager will responsible to anticipating and protecting the company interest against legal risks in order to minimize the risk and to assure the compliance of the company with the internal company regulation including the governance and directs the defense of the organization against suits or claims. Providing solution oriented advice and legal advisory services to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency in identifying the legal risks.Litigation- Oversee and handling all litigations matter of the company including police report, handling criminal or civil cases, dispute, claims, attending police summon, etc.- Prepares the prosecution of the company's claims against others, represent the company for any legal claim or dispute to, or from, the company.- Provide update and inform manager/head of legal and/or board of management for any litigation matters occur in the company.- Handling all inquiries related with claim and operation matters.- Instructing and liaising with external counsel including to prepare an approval for legal panel process in relation with litigations for the company interest.- Assist and provide legal advice in relation with litigation matters for board of management and/or manager/head of legal.- Prepares the procedures and guidelines on the litigation process within the company.- Administer all litigations documents.Corporate legal- Prepare and review of all company's commercial agreement with third parties including all legal documents related to RTB.- Drafting and reviewing on new or amendment of the product documentations including to review of all customer facing materials as required or as requested.- Liaise on all business with the relevant department in the company and regional as required for reporting, corporate and projects matters including to liaise with the relevant regulators as and when necessary for managing licensing issues, registrations, notifications etc.- Instruct and liaise with notary, external counsel, as required and managing an approved legal panel process.- Assisting all legal corporate and commercial documentations to ensure that are kept and maintained in good order.- Providing solution oriented advice to manager/head of legal and/or business.- Administering and evaluate the regulations including its implementation for the company.- Submitting and reporting all reviewed document to manager for final review before deliver to business units or external party.- Performs other duties related to legal and compliance risk as required by manager or board of management.- Conducting legal research related to strategic legal issues and projects or to business related to RTB.Management- Selecting, coaching and developing associate to enable them to provide the necessary standard of legal support.- Managing a functional budget, including managing external legal costs.
