A leading multinational FMCG company is seeking a Head of Sales (GT). In this job, you will manage its general trade market for its fast growing business in Jakarta.
About the Head of Sales (GT) Role:
Reporting fo Sales Director, and managing a team of approximately 50 staff, you will be responsible for creating and implementing a strategic sales plan that will bring growth and consistency to the respective sales regions.
Key Responsibilities:
Understand and monopolise on current trends and the future wants and needs of the consumer in Indonesia
Manage distributors, maintain a strong and long-term relationships with accounts and maximising sales opportunities within them
Consistently meet and over achieve on KPIs and targets whilst maintaining professional business acumen
Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements
Perform regular visits to the retail market (i.e. pharmacies) to ensure market knowledge is current and relevant
Define retail sales targets and necessary measures to secure their fulfilment
Prepare regular reports and presentations of progress, measures and forecasts
Support demand planning to ensure stock availability
To succeed in this role, you must have at least 10 years of experience managing general trade market within the consumer goods space.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from a reputable university
An in-depth understanding of the GT FMCG market - distribution and retail
Proven leadership skills with the ability to hire, develop and motivate future leaders
Track record of success coming from previous experience in large-scale FMCG organisations
Willingness to share, collaborate and work with colleagues in other functions and geographies
Aspirations to be a future Director and full P/L owner
Outstanding work ethic
Strong communicator who is able to influence others
