TERMS- The project is scheduled to start in **June/July 2023** and will run for approximately **9+ months** (with the option to extend).- Contract type**:fixed-term employment** or **freelance project**.- The position requires a commitment of **60 hours per week**.- Home leaves will be provided on a **8 weeks on** / **2 weeks off** schedule.RESPONSIBILITIES The Electrical Site Supervisor (M/F/d) is responsible for ensuring that all electrical equipment and installations are properly executed and prepared for pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up in compliance with all applicable specifications and standards.- Act as a liaison to all other discipline supervisors in the construction area.- Supervise and coordinate the activities of assigned contractors' supervisors.- Maintain daily supervisory surveillance checks and records, ensuring that contractors' management and supervision provide a safe working environment, follow permitting procedures, and have competent personnel, protective equipment, and reliable, well-maintained equipment to execute contracted works as per the contract schedule targets.- Ensure that contractors adhere strictly to the latest approved construction project drawings, specifications, procedures, and site instructions.- Conduct routine studies to check and review all contractors' scope as detailed in drawings, specifications, and instructions, ensuring contractors' proper interpretation and compliance with the latest revision of drawings and specifications.- Ensure that contractors' activities are carried out in accordance with the approved contractors' quality plan.- Ensure that the erection of contracted works under your control meets all practical commercial requirements for productivity, quality, and contract targets, and provide leadership and guidance to contractors.- Instruct all assigned personnel on and ensure compliance with all aspects of the HSE policy, site security, site regulations, permit-to-work procedures, and client requirements.- Maintain close liaison with the Safety Officer to ensure that safe working practices are followed in relation to civil works.- Observe contractors' dimensional control methods to ensure proper set-out of works.Supervise specialized surveying contractors for checks prior to the start of erection.- Monitor daily progress within your area of assignment and record quantities installed.- Take corrective action in cooperation with the field in the event of foreseeable delays.- Check the monthly progress reported by contractors and inform Time Controlling.- Update drawings, specifications, etc. to reflect "as-built" status.- Monitor material deliveries and anticipate requirements.- Record daily manpower and report if manpower levels affect the working program.- Discuss the time schedules for erection work with contractors based on the construction schedule.- Discuss and initiate, in cooperation with erection work contractors, the assignment of construction personnel.- Prepare work orders for extra work.- Initiate the preparation of purchase order amendments as needed and submit the necessary information to the Site Manager.- Inform Cost Controlling of the expected cost development and propose corrective measures in cooperation with the Site Manager in case of foreseeable cost overruns.- Provide Cost Controlling with the necessary documentation for change notifications/orders in the event of contract changes requested by the Client.- Participate in meetings on site with the Client and relevant authorities and prepare the minutes of meetings.- Initiate and direct weekly meetings with civil and structural steel work suppliers and prepare the relevant minutes of meetings.- Supervise quantity checking.- Coordinate interfaces with other construction work.- Follow up on punch lists and acceptance and handover protocols.- Ensure proper control of changes by issuing field instructions for all changes and reviewing advance revision notices before issuing them to contractors to ensure correct use of contractors' resources.- Perform other duties as assigned.**REQUIREMENTS**:- At least Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.- At least 5 years of experience in electrical construction and supervision.- Extensive knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations.- Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and motivate a team.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.- The ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.- Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.- Physical ability to perform site visits, inspections, and other duties as needed.- Proficiency with computer programs and tools such as Microsoft Office and project management software.
