Wahana Visi Indonesia is a trusted partner of World Vision International.Key Responsibilities:- This position is in the Wahana Visi Indonesia service area, especially in the Eastern Indonesia region.- To support Wahana Visi's strategic objectives to "Improve Child Well Being" through ensuring internal process which providing technical support to WVIDN's education programme (early childhood development, basic education and life skills development) by increasing accountability and quality in a way that reflects Wahana Visi's core values, mission and strategic directions.Education Specialist will ensure and enhance the technical job role and professional competence of Program or Project Staff to provide technical support related to Early Childhood Development (ECD), Basic Education and Life Skills development, resources to support them, and organizational processes that respect human dignity. S/he will be reporting to Education Manager at National level and working closely with other technical sector/unit specialists to strengthen integrated approaches to achieve education outcomes, ensuring quality monitoring and evaluation of education programming and demonstrating evidence of impact.- Strategy Development and Planning- Contribute to development of zonal early childhood development, basic education and life skills development Strategy to address zonal strategic education issues based on its situation-- Provide support to implementation early childhood development, Basic Education and life skills guidelines (including geographic and sector priorities, key advocacy issues, funding growth plan and networks), which is aligned, to National and Partnership strategy.-- Work with Education Team to ensure the unit business plan align with the corporate strategy.-- Contribute to ongoing development and implementation of Wahana Visi Indonesia National Strategy and Corporate Plan.-- In Education in Emergency or response situations happening at zone or cluster area, coordinate EiE programming, implementation, budget, and quality assurance; share programming data and experiences in the form of reports to grant acquisition staff to secure funding.- Resource Acquisition and Management- Conduct cost benefit analysis to evaluate the efficiency & effectiveness of early childhood development, basic education and life skills development program.-- Conduct assessment to explore new funding opportunities for increasing early childhood development, basic education and life skills development program.-- Provide data and analysis to develop new funding proposal-- Monitor annual education budget and its allocation for each zonal level in alignment with National & Zonal Strategy.Capacity Building and Technical Support- Coordinate and facilitate education orientation and refresher trainings for area programme staff within respective Zone or Cluster.-- Support and/or facilitate capacity building of education area programme staff, including coaching on specific interventions within the education technical project.-- Support education competency development for area programme /project education staff. Develop a standard for APs to define basic education competencies and training modules to improve competencies.-- Contextualise training and teaching materials for education core project models and approaches for various stakeholders including community leaders, ministry of education officials, teachers, parents and caregivers, and other local partners or volunteers-- Ensure safeguarding training and orientation for all education sector partners including community level b.-- Collaborate with colleagues in P&C and other relevant departments to jointly manage safeguarding issues regarding education (Level 1-3), according to global protocols, with support from Regional Office and Global Centre.- Accountability and Quality Assurance- Oversee Education Technical Programme implementation, TP budget and TP quality in area programmes within respective Zone or Cluster-- Coordinate adaptation of Education TP into an education technical project for specific area programmes, including adaptation of specific interventions-- Regularly assess technical project implementation in specific area programmes and provide recommendations for improvement; monitor technical project activities to ensure they are within scope, time and budget-- Ensure Zonal have sound education strategies (design documents and annual operating plans
