Jixie is a company helping online publishers to monetize better their advertising inventory by providing them solutions to optimize their in-stream and outstream yield through advertising tag optimization and advertising performance solutions. Jixie is working with the main online publishers in Indonesia, large advertisers and e-commerce platforms. To sustain its growth, Jixie is looking for a Data Scientist who will support the different departments with insights gained from analyzing company data.
The ideal candidate has strong experience using a variety of data mining/data analysis methods, building and implementing models, using/creating algorithms, creating/running simulations and implement in production. He/She must have a proven ability to drive business results with their data-based insights. The right candidate will have a passion for discovering solutions hidden in large data sets and working with stakeholders to improve business outcomes.
Responsibilities Work with stakeholders to identify business opportunities for leveraging data to drive business decisions, and automate current processes; Mine and analyze data to drive optimization and improvement of product development; Assess the effectiveness of current processes and algorithms, define needs for data and data gathering techniques; Develop new models and algorithms to apply to datasets, mainly based on optimization techniques or predictive modelling; Be responsible of company A/B testing framework; Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyse model performance and data accuracy.
Minimum Qualifications:
Experienced in using statistical computer languages (Python, SQL, etc.) and data streaming format (recordIO) to manipulate large volumes of data, internal or external, experienced in creating data processing architectures; Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques and their real world advantages/drawbacks; Experience with cloud solutions like AWS Sagemaker, Athena, Glue (Spark), or equivalent; Experience with BI tools (Google Data Studio, Quicksight, Tableau, etc.); Hungry to perform with persistence to deliver: project management and organizational multi-tasking; Always solving problem: strong aptitude to find solutions, forecast and anticipate outcomes; Connect & resolve: excellent communication skills with ability to understand needs and translate into action; Recommended 4+ years of experience, previous media advertising/performance advertising experience preferred.
