Job Description: Responsible for operating and directing the operation of equipment for stopping, starting, and/or regulating power plant boilers, steam generators and systems under the direction of station management; safe control and operation of unit(s) and associated plant equipment, for maximum efficiency and output; coordinate operation and maintenance activities on the unit(s) to minimize impact on generation; advise station management when proposed operation or maintenance activities affect availability of generation; inspect and maintain plant equipment, steam turbines, power boilers, turbine driven generators, mechanical and electrical auxiliaries, fuel systems, ash handling systems, lubricating systems, and water recirculation and treatment systems; Requirements: High school diploma or superior title, with computer skill.Possess a valid license to operate a motor vehicle. Comply with all HSSE regulations, policies, standards, practices and actively participate in improving plant safety culture.Must be flexible to work overtime, nights and weekends when the need arises.Must be at least 8 years of experience in CCGT Power Plant.Able to read, write and speak English. Duties and Responsibilities: Under direction of Shift Coordinator, guidance controls smooth running conditions and optimises plant processes in his area by operating through DCS and directing external operators for external activities, following production plans, operating and Q&HSE procedures, and guarantee the assigned target of daily production.The job holder responsibilities:Guarantee the respect of all production procedures and have the responsibility, in danger situation, to start all safety and environmental activities;Guarantee the monitoring of instrumental level is correct, in according with definite value.To receive information from the shift Supervisor on plant operating parameter values and to ensure they are continuously respected.To maintain continuous contact with other operators (external or board) to solve common operational problems, such as product transfer, utilities load variation, etc.To monitor all Power Plant process condition trough scanning of data by using the instrumentation located in the control room and to make adjustments as necessary to keep data within safe limits and within the established operating parameter values.To notice any abnormal operating condition and to communicate with the external operator until normal running condition are set up.Prepare the daily report where is signed all the event happened in the plant;Set and maintain a working environment that meets all safety and environmental standards.To inform the shift Supervisor about work difficulties or plant emergencies and to receive instruction to overcome them.Ensures the right function of assigned utility.Ensures good co-ordination of assigned team for the operations.To assist the trainee operators whenever requested by the shift Supervisor.Assist in emergencies on the plant.
