About the Chief Risk Officer Role:
Reporting into the Chief Executive Officer and supporting the wider leadership team, you will be responsible for helping them develop a risk governance framework and for championing and overseeing risk mitigation activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, recommend and administer risk management policies, processes and systems to ensure that Indonesia operates within the regulator and framework and all risk policies, covering strategic, credit, AML and operational risks
Develop and administer communication and education initiatives to foster a risk aware culture throughout Indonesia
Collaborate with business units to identify, measure and report on the company's risk exposures and to ensure risks are managed within risk tolerances and that action plans are actionable and followed up
Drive the formation, and ensure effective operation, of local Risk Committees. Provide staff support for the committee by playing an active role in setting agenda, and ensuring all material risk positions, risk policies, risk taking and risk mitigation activities are reviewed by the committee
Facilitate the setting of company's risk appetite with the business units
Review key business decisions and provide an approval or concurrence from an independent risk perspective, as specified by certain policies and standards
Support a robust evolving risks management framework and mitigation actions by facilitating discussion with BU on evolving risks facing the company
Oversee the implementation of operational risk management, and ensure that the programs continue to perform effectively on an ongoing basis
Develop, educate and foster risk related talents within the organisations
Influence emerging local regulatory and industry risk framework changes
To succeed in this Chief Risk Officer role, you will need to have strong industry skills and experience.
Key Requirements:
Minimum of 15 years' risk management experience in matters of increasing complexity
Good understanding of products developed and marketed in Asia
Solid working knowledge of enterprise risk management frameworks and processes
Proven leadership skills, along with strong process and project management capabilities and experience
Strong communication skills, including ability to translate complex issues into fundamental concepts
Creative problem solving and the ability to motivate others to implement new solutions
Talent with a good command of English
