Role Summary We are on the hunt for a Chief Operating Officer (COO) who can drive our company's operational excellence, see beyond the horizon and help navigate our little spaceship through uncharted territories. You will work closely with the CEO to shape and implement the company's vision and ensure that daily operations align with our goals. You'll be more than just a second-in-command to the CEO; you'll be a partner, a co-pilot and a trailblazer, integral to our company's future.
The operations you will oversee span different industries: hospitality (our coworking & innovation hub), legal & compliance (our work with our own startups, business units as well as clients), professional services (like consultancy, training, informal education) which provides a stimulating, dynamic, and oftentimes challenging environment.
Key Responsibilities Oversee company operations, ensuring efficient, excellent delivery of services and projects, ensuring they resonate with our core values and vision.
Partner with the CEO to co-create our organizational vision, infuse life into our operational strategies, and steer the company forward.
Transform high-level strategies into actionable goals, helping to implement organization-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operating planning.
Lead the construction and evolution of our operational backbone, ensuring our systems, and processes, are robust and always evolving to respond and anticipate needs.
Lead, coach and nurture your team of direct reports.
Cultivate a culture that's not just about doing things better but doing great, meaningful things.
Help nurture and build our ecosystem, significant relationships with external partners and stakeholders, turning them into alliances.
Drive company results from both an operational and financial perspective, working closely with the Finance Director, HR, and other key executive team members.
Ensure our decision-making processes are not just effective but also empowering, enabling us to achieve our ambitions and objectives.
Provide strategic input on Talent Acquisition strategy and forecast, organizational design and other key Talent Management aspects.
Qualifications Required: proven experience navigating businesses processes in a COO or similar leadership role in Indonesia, preferably in the tech, innovation/coworking or professional services industries.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, MBA or relevant graduate degree preferred but not required.
Excellent business acumen and understanding of business functions such as HR, finance, business development, compliance, etc.
Track record of getting stuff done at a high level and servicing clients working within a cross-cultural team and customer base, navigating the complexities that entails.
Experience with business development is a plus (but not required).
Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities.
Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills in English.
Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving.
Outstanding work ethic and a solid moral compass.
