A fast-growing e-commerce company is looking for a Business Support Director (or COO) to support the President Director and co-founders. This role will work closely with the executive team responsible for setting the overall strategic direction, delivery growth through scaling the business and supporting all the business support functions. This role is based in Jakarta.
About the Business Support Director Role:
This position will be a critical role for the business, with a straight reporting line to the President Director and co-founders.
Key Responsibilities:
Creating and implementing comprehensive plans that will be used to successfully achieve the overall business strategy
Managing the direction of the company in particular for all the business support functions (including procurement, finance, HR, legal, operations and supply chains areas) and leading department heads for respective functions
Ensuring that strategies are suitable for the culture of the organisation and delivering valuable services
Scaling end-to-end operations and business support aspects of the business to meet growth of the company
Working alongside the President Director and co-founders, you will contribute significantly to the development of new and existing business and take ownership of the business support functions, people, commercial and operations
To succeed in this Business Support Director or COO role, you must be a strong communicator with the ability to pursue, influence, inspire and manage relevant stakeholders. You need to have proven track record of leading through values and visions, strong technical and soft skills.
Key Requirements:
A degree holder from a reputable university. Foreign graduates are preferred
Solid commercial and operational exposure ideally gained within a fast-growing tech and/or consultant firm
At least five years of director or senior roles experience
Strong decision-making background and generally hands on. Able to operate and lead a big team
Strong analytical and numerical skills
Able to manage detail with an eye on the strategic/big picture and the future opportunities for the business
