We are looking for a highly skilled Indonesia-qualified lawyer with 2-4+ years of experience to join our legal team. This role will be based in Jakarta. You will lead the initiatives and develop strategy to apply and maintain compliance works as well as keep abreast of laws and legislation which may have an impact on the Company’s operations. We will consider strong candidates with experience in the corporate practice (both private or in-house), regulatory research, and licensing obtainment/ compliance establishment. Candidates can expect to collaborate with their colleagues across offices and handle several matters with various internal partners concurrently.Responsibility:Draft and provide legal advice on matters relating to the Company’s business activities and transactions to avoid or minimize legal risk and to comply with the prevailing laws and regulationsStay current and provide regular updates on key developments impacting the Company’s business and collaborate with other legal team members to provide the most comprehensive legal and business know-how available.Provide, develop, and review our standard template contracts and make sure any such template/registration documents are all in order to be legally compliant with existing policiesConduct regulatory assessment and provide advice for the Company’s division/department head concerning how laws and regulations impact their functional areasLead and drive compliance-related initiatives and ensure they are well implemented across the Company’s divisionsTogether with other legal team members, develop and conduct engaging internal trainings for internal partners on various topics to help reduce riskMaintain and secure the Company’s business licenses and permits across our business units and supporting any M&A and licensing-related activitiesBe a part of or maintain a good relationship with industry associations and professional legal organizationJob Requirements:Proven solid experience as in-house legal counsel or experienced lawyers in reputable law firms with 2-4+ years of experienceExcellent command of written and spoken English and Indonesia due to the nature of the businessDemonstrate a keen ability to issue-spot sensitive legal and business concerns, including a strong sense of when to escalate such matters to internal partners, and proactively propose solutionsA highly approachable, collegial, and collaborative approach, aiming to building bridges and balancing needs across a rapidly changing organization and able to empathize through differences of view and values of othersAn accountable and proactive self-starter, comfortable working independently and remotely with colleaguesStrong leadership, organizational, negotiation, and project management skillsHaving a PERADI license and/or masters degree would be advantageousNote :if you are interested in this position, you can also submit your resume at Ruangguru official Career page
