Your Impact
Do you have a passion for working with young adults? Do you also enjoy community involvement and establishing relationships? In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop and implement strategic outreach methods to assist young adults within the community. You will serve as a facilitator to establish and cultivate relationships with, but not limited to, participants, employers and community agencies.
Your Responsibilities:
Develop relationships with community organizations, educational facilities and social service agencies to encourage enrollment in WIOA Youth Workforce center program(s).
Conduct outreach presentations in person and/or virtually as needed with a wide range of audiences including high school students, parents, educators, older adults, transitioning job seekers at halfway houses, etc.
Appropriately connect career seekers to open positions, resulting in employment. Additionally, connect career seekers to opportunities for training and development and other career center services to increase opportunities for employment.
Contact participants and/or employers on a regular basis to verify and document placement/retention in employment.
Establish and maintain knowledge of community and participate in community events and other activities including collaborative recruitment strategies with community partners. This may require a weekend and evening work schedule.
Assist individuals with understanding and completing program enrollment processes.
Conduct eligibility assessment for WIOA Youth Program.
Act as a facilitator for the WIOA Youth Program to include conducting job readiness trainings and Dynamic Futures 5.0 in person and/or virtually.
Acquire and maintain knowledge of market research tools and the trends in the industry or sector to appropriately guide and direct career seekers to placement or education.
Ensure that customer files and records are maintained in accordance with legal requirements and Company policies and procedures.
Utilize Extreme Customer Service behaviors in all interactions with internal and external customers.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Training and Development, Social Work, Education, Human Resources, or closely related field or equivalent.
Experience:Working knowledge of WIOA Youth Program preferred. Strong familiarity with regulatory entities and their laws and guidance that apply to job posting, recruitment, individual training accounts, employed worker training, customized training and work based learning experience preferred.
Skills/Abilities:Ability to clearly and concisely communicate with staff and leadership via presentations, in person, telephone, written and oral. Excellent verbal and written communication skills including ability to do public speaking and conduct training sessions. The ability to maintain confidentiality is a must.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) required.
Additional Requirements:Must have valid driver's license and adequate vehicle insurance coverage.
