The First Automotive Technician

movus is an IoT, Fin-tech and Automotive new start-up based in Japan.
We are trying to change a huge big market with technology.
We are founded by a business leader who worked at Automotive and finance startups and a business leader who worked at Japan, US and India unicorn companies.
We are seeking the first automotive technician who can change the world with us.

Position Overview :
As the first Automotive Mechanic at movus, you will manage and install our core technology IoT devices, perform vehicle repairs and maintenance, and perform all other vehicle-related works. In the future, you will also be responsible for building and leading your team.

Responsibility :
Install IoT devices that is our core technology into vehicles
Manage IoT devices
Develop IoT devices in collaboration with IoT engineer team
Repair and maintain vehicles

Requirements :
Vision creating a new service and company
3+ years of experience as an automotive technician in Japanese car dealers or repair shops
Experience installing a back camera and a car navigation
Experience repairing or disassembling fuel pumps
Experience repairing or disassembling car interiors
Experience of the whole process of wire stripping ( removing the rubber part of the wire to take out the core wire) and insulation sleeving
Experience restoring, including rewiring from front to rear
Experience using external diagnostic equipment and troubleshooting with oscilloscopes
Experience in creating a new wiring diagram and rewiring without vehicle wiring diagrams
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
English and Japanese skill

Preferred :
Good connection with the automotive industry
Experience in management team
Bachelor's degree in automotive mechanic or relevant field
Experience handling multiple manufacturers
Experience as an adjuster in an insurance company
