Role.
The Q,R&D Manger is our leader for quality and technical product development at Koncrete Koboi. Key responsibility is to establish and meet sensible quality & cost standards as well as develop concrete & precast products that meet the needs of local customers including ApsaraPearl. This is a leadership role that supports an efficient production & delivery operation, cost improvement and technical standards development. The role is in three parts. 1. Raw materials and process quality control. 2. Analysis of production and delivery problems, solutions and general performance improvement. 3. An innovation pipeline of new products in concrete and precast relevant to our Island customers. The role leads a small team, a quality and development lab and collaborations with local universities and suppliers. It works with other engineers and site workers and team members from diverse backgrounds. Inteligence, attention to detail and good communication is essential. The positions will require some outdoor work and shift work/weekends.

Develop acceptance standards, testing methods and establish testing laboratory on site and outsourced.

Quality and performance record keeping is an important part of the role.
Qualifications, Experience, Character
Hard science degree. Preference for Chemical Engineer or Industrial Engineer with Chemistry Major.
Track record in quality control laboratory operations and management. Some R&D experience.
Experience with cement and construction across a variety of construction types.
Ability to use statistical analysis, spreadsheets and quality design techniques
Strength of character, knows what's right, vigilant, can protect our assets & inspire our people to do the right thing.
High energy. people person that can deal with diverse personalities with a sense of humour.
