Shop Foreman-Jackson

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:General and specific knowledge of diesel and gas powered trucks and equipment. General and specific knowledge of transport refrigeration. Must be able to read, write, and follow written and oral directions.
PHYSICAL ATTRIBUTES NEEDED:Must have the physical ability to hear and follow instructions. Must have the physical ability to read, write and follow written instructions.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
Supervisor and perform preventive maintenance on vehicles.

Supervise and perform ordinary and extra ordinary repairs on company equipment.

Operate company equipment as needed.

See that shop is kept clean and free from hazards.

See that repair orders are completed when the job is completed.

Read daily "driver vehicles inspection report" and see that needed repairs are made to keep trucks in safe working condition.

See that handling equipment is kept clean and in good appearance.

Purchase parts and shop supplies at the best price possible as needed.

Maintain parts inventory

Oversee building and material handling equipment maintenance.

See that all shop personnel perform their job in a safe manner.

All other duties as assigned by Director of Maintenance and Safety. Always practice safety at all times.
