Job Description Get to Know the Team We are seeking and experienced Senior Android Engineer to join our Consumer Experience team in Jakarta, Indonesia. You will develop our Android applications, focusing on delivering exceptional user experiences to our customers
Get to Know the Role As a leader in an exciting and dynamic industry that is evolving daily, we are seeking Android Engineers to join our team! As part of this role, you will develop app authentication experiences that are secure and as frictionless as possible for our users. You will direct report to the Manager. The role will working fully onsite.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform Lead the development of high-quality Android applicationsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to design, and ship new featuresEnsure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applicationsIdentify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugsHelp maintain code quality, organization, and automatizationContribute to the entire app lifecycle, from design to testing, release, and supportOptimize application for maximum speed and scalabilityStay up-to-date with new mobile technologies and industry trendsMentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to the teamParticipate in code reviews and contribute to our mobile development standards Qualifications What Essential Skills You Will Need A minimum of Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field5+ years of professional Android development experienceAdvanced proficiency in Kotlin and Java programming languagesKnowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizesFamiliarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end servicesStrong understanding of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practicesAbility to design applications around natural user interfaces, such as "touch"Familiarity with the use of additional sensors, such as gyroscopes and accelerometersExperience with build automation tools such as GradleFamiliarity with cloud message APIs and push notificationsUnderstanding of Google's Android design principles and interface guidelinesProficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as GitExperience with performance optimization and troubleshooting techniquesGoogle Certified Android Developer certification is a plus Additional Information Life at Grab We care about your well-being at Grab, here are some of the global benefits we offer:
