Responsibilities
Be responsible for software engineering activities development of enhancements, including requirement analysis, design, coding, reviews and unit testing. Providing maintenance and support
Effective handling of customer issues/escalations with proper Investigation, debugging and provide resolution via fixes or workarounds.
Constantly improve product quality, security, and performance.
Ability to communicate/collaborate effectively and efficiently within and between teams (SRE, Support and Customer Success teams).
Strong problem-solving skills.
Experience with working in remote teams.
Technical skills
Required:
Strong Ruby scripting language experience with unit testing frameworks and MVC architecture (Experience in Java, Python will be added advantage)
Database experience, particularly MySQL and MongoDB
Strong understanding of UNIX command line tools - grep, sed, awk
Good networking fundamentals
GitHub for collaboration and change management.
Good to have:
Understanding of RESTful APIs and other web-based application concepts
Experience in SaaS/Cloud development environments
Knowledge of third-party cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Knowledge on JavaScript, Go Lang, YAML, CSS, HTML
Experience porting applications to latest version of Ruby and stabilizing it.
