Job Overview:Procedure production welder which consistently achieve or surpass the minimum quality requirements. Ensure compliance with HSE policy and any Overriding Company Policies. Key Responsibility/Accountability: Carry personal welder qualification card on site all times. Always ensure the is a valid WPS available for joint to be worked on and adhere to it. Survey surrounding area and take action to minimize the risk of fire, explosion or injury which may be caused by the welding process. Inspect welding equipment ensuring that it is a safe working condition. Routing of welding cables and hoses in a safe manner. Maintaining the condition and legality of all hand tools and equipment. Report any non-conforming fit-ups or preparation to foreman. Visually inspect the complete weld and substrate material adjacent to it for any welding no-conformances or damage. Report to the foreman any welding non-conformance or damage and carry out rectification work as advised by the Foreman. On completion of the weld. Identify the weld with the welder by inserting the WPS #, Welders Stamp#, date and time of completion. During welding and after welding remove all slag, spatter and clean weld with appropriate method leaving it in a presentable condition. High standard of safe working practice, quality and productivity as well as compliance with Code of Business Conduct. Desired/Preferred Qualifications : Possess a good understanding on work safely. Understand how to produce good quality. Min 2 years’ experience as Process Welder. Minimum Senior High School graduate or process relevant experience.
