Senior Legal Associate

An exciting Senior Legal Associate job has become available in Jakarta at one of the fastest growing technology-based start ups.
About the Senior Legal Associate Role:
As a Senior Legal Associate, you will handle legal matters such as reviewing contracts, conducting research, drafting and carrying out legal due diligence in a wide array of regulatory framework including liaising with our outside counsel. This role reports to the COO at the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Advise on legal issues and risks related to compliance (e.g. around anti-bribery and data privacy), approval processes, company policies and procedures, trade mark, IP and business strategy
Advise on labour-related matters
Maintain a good network with related institution, government and others
Negotiate on behalf of the company's interest on business related matters
Identify and address risks and issues in the local daily business operations
Provide corporate governance in an effective an efficient manner
Analyse how Indonesian and non-Indonesian regulations and be comfortable with changing regulatory landscape

To succeed in this Senior Legal Associate role, you will need to have high commercial awareness, self-driven motivation, dynamic cultural awareness, and appreciation of how regulations affect the business.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor of Laws and a minimum of five years' experience as a corporate lawyer at a reputable private practice firm and in-house legal practitioner (desirable)
Competence as a lawyer; ability to manage workload in a dynamic environment
Legal with a commercial sound with ability to challenge results, provide solution and form justifiable assumptions for the business
Experience in FMCG, Retail, Supply Chain and Start Ups is preferred
Familiarity with Indonesian Corporate Law, Industrial Relation, legal document and terminology
Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and English
Excellent analytical skills
Driven and ambitious attitude with commercial acumen
