About the role
TheSenior Engineer Mine Planningwill be responsible to monitor, control and supervise mine planning staff and resources to produce short and long term mine planning/scheduling systems and procedures that effectively support the mining operations in achieving performance within budget. Reporting to the Superintendent Mine Planning Operations and based on Balikpapan Support Facility on a 5/2 roster, you will work collaboratively towards delivering high quality solutions and results.
Some of your duties will include;
Monitor, control and supervise mine planning staff and resources to produce short and long term mine planning/scheduling systems and procedures that effectively support the mining operations in achieving performance within budget
Contribute to the development of long term mine plans and short term detailed mine execution plans and to provide the necessary parameters on a continuous feedback basis to enable short term control to achieve the long term mine plan
Responsible for the final compilation and timely submission of monthly progress claims when on site
Closely monitors work practices and output to ensure that the integrity, clarity and thoroughness of the information that is produced by the mine planning function is of a high standard and relevant to the requirements
Maintains a strong capability in the mine planning software and ensures that staff are similarly up to date with their skills
Coaching and mentoring of mining engineers and technical assistants to ensure that they understand the Technical implications within contracts.
Contributes to the compilation of tenders by providing Mine planning and design support needed by the Estimator
About you
What skills and experience do you need?
Graduate from bachelor degree in Mining Engineering
Minimum of 5 years' experience in similar role in Mining area
Certified in POP from Mine and Energy Department.
Proficient in geological modelling, mine planning (Mincom) and other general office software (Microsoft), XPAC, TALPAC
Proficient in Mining Principles, Mine design concepts and mining methods.
Able to drive light vehicle
