To support The Conversation Indonesia’s participation in efforts to increase Indonesia’s capacity for high-quality and impactful research, in partnership and alignment with the higher education and research sector, we will develop a professional development program (Fellowship program) for early career researchers in the fields of Climate Change, Marine Science, Health and Medicine, and Community Resilience.
The fellowship will be designed to increase their skills to design complex multi-year research projects, to write research proposals to funders, and publish their research and communicate their findings to both the international scientific community and the general public. The fellowship program will also increase their access to information on research funding opportunities and widen their network with international collaborators.
The consultant will work together with a Project Manager, who will manage the project, in consultation with Head of Training, and assisted by a project assistant. The consultant will report to the Executive Editor ensuring timely completion of each stage of the project and on budget.
We anticipate the project will take six months, November 2020 to April 2021.
To access the complete scope of work, please send an email to prodita.sabarini@theconversation. Questions surrounding the RFP and proposal submission instructions can be directed there as well.
Deadline for submission of the consultant proposal and qualifications is October 30, 2020
Proposals will be assessed on the following criteria:
? Alignment to and potential to achieve the project goals and objectives
? Strength of the consultant skills and experience to requested qualifications
? Cost-effectiveness
? Innovativeness of the proposed methodology
? Expected ability of proposal to promote lasting capacity improvements within the
organisation
? Willingness of the consultant to work collaboratively with the client
? Willingness of the consultant to remain flexible within agreed-to parameters and
objectives
