Job Description Summary
The Repair Technology Center of Excellence (RTCoE) RTE will be responsible for effective identification, industrialization, and support of repair processes in Gas Turbine Repair Service Centers. In this role, located regionally at GE Repair Service Center in Bandung, Indonesia , you will support development, startup, and implementation of Hot Gas Path and Combustion repairs and serve as the Shop’s Repair Process Technical Expert.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Participate directly on core RTCoE Component Engineer team
Integrate with regional P&W Services Technology Team
Provide technical leadership to shop engineering team
Facilitate implementation and qualification of new repairs
Lead repair projects that improve safety, quality, productivity, and cycle using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements
Review and approve shop repair plans and work instructions
Provide technical assistance for process and quality issue resolution
Perform special process audits to ensure compliance with GE requirements
Provide timely communications to P&RS and RTCoE on significant issues or developments
Participate on teams for problem solving, standardization, and best practice sharing
Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews
Provide technology support to regional commercial repair team
Facilitate review and fulfillment of non-standard customer repair requests
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Materials Engineering, or other approved Engineering area
Minimum three years of engineering experience
Minimum one year of experience working with and/or supporting an operations environment
Demonstrated ability to drive projects to completion and handle multiple tasks.
Strong oral and written communication skills in English and local Language
Minimum of 5 years of experience working with and/or supporting a manufacturing environment
Desired Characteristics
Experience in Gas Turbine/Aero component manufacture, design or repair.
Six Sigma training
Strong mechanical design and analytical background
Ability to drive projects to completion
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal, leadership, and decision-making skills
Ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization and external customers
EEDP or other leadership program graduate
