Strategy
Understand and apply the strategic architecture design principles and standards, Optimal data pipeline architecture, assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements
Business
Analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights for the business users, operational efficiency and internal and external reporting liquidity metrics
Processes
Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc
People and Talent
Build the appropriate culture and values to be a role model. Acquire new skills to keep up the system update to date and to align bank wide new initiatives

Academic & Professional
Degree in Software Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or related fields. At least 3-7 years of working experience in Hadoop ecosystem (Spark, Python/Scala, Hive) with emphasis on data manipulation, transformation & analysis
Skills & Attributes
The Quantexa Developer / Big Data Engineer will be a key member of Trade Quantexa Delivery team and responsible for the design, development and implementation of Quantexa product for Trade Finance. The role holder will form a key part of a fast-paced, ambitious, delivery programme.
Skills
Strong knowledge of working on HDFS, Hive, Yarn and Spark Strong coding background in either Python or Scala with high-performance, reliable and maintainable code Experience in working in a development lifecycle with knowledge on versioning systems (GIT, Bitbucket), dependency management (Maven, Gradle) and continuous integration (Jenkins) Experience of building data processing pipelines for use in production “hands-off” batch systems, including either traditional ETL pipelines and/or analytics pipelines. Experience working in an Agile environment Problem solving and analytical mindset Effective communication skills

Holding Quantexa Developer certification Experience in managed services AWS EKS, Azure AKS Experience in Angular Microservices (OCP, Kubernetes)
