Responsibilities Develop and manage relationships with ethical suppliers of raw swallow nests, ensuring adherence to sustainability and wildlife protection standards.
Conduct supplier audits to verify quality, compliance with food safety certifications (HACCP, Halal, ISO 9001), and fair labor practices.
Diversify and qualify suppliers across regions to mitigate supply chain risks.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms for raw materials, packaging, and logistics services to optimize costs.
Monitor market trends and implement strategies to manage price volatility.
Track procurement KPIs and report to senior management.
Collaborate with production and sales teams to forecast raw material needs.
Maintain optimal inventory levels of swallow nests and packaging materials.
Ensure all procured materials meet international food safety, traceability, and CITES regulations.
Oversee documentation for ethical sourcing certifications and export-import permits.
Drive eco-friendly procurement practices and support R&D for sustainable alternatives.
Work closely with QA teams and logistics to resolve quality issues and optimize transportation.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field.
5–7 years in procurement/purchasing, with 3+ years in food processing, agriculture, or luxury goods industries.
Knowledge of wildlife trade regulations and supply chains for perishable goods.
Familiarity with food safety standards (HACCP, ISO 9001, Halal).
Advanced data analysis skills (Excel, Power BI).
Exceptional negotiation, communication, and crisis-management skills.
Ability to build trust with suppliers in diverse markets.
Experience managing high-value, low-volume procurement.
Willingness to travel frequently.
Fluency in English or Mandarin.
