Product Manager - Cartography (Map Data Quality)

Overview
The Cartography team is an internal mapping team that is looking for a meticulous Product Manager to lead our efforts around Map Data Quality. Mapping technology is highly dependent on the accuracy and correctness of our underlying map data ranging from roads being traveled to pickup points where riders and drivers are meeting. This is a new stream and so you will be driving the strategy, defining the right metrics, and delivering a high quality, performant set of tools to ensure our map stays up to date. You enjoy building scalable, performant systems that drive business impact.Responsibilities
Drive product strategy and execute on the prioritized roadmap for your product area
Lead a cross-functional team, partnering with engineering, data science, geospatial analysts and map operations to ship major features and product improvements
Define, track and report on key product, business and customer metrics
Seek product ideas and feedback, gather requirements, write specs, create wireframes and workflows
Define clear and well-scoped requirements documents that are easily understood by technical and non-technical audiences
Collaborate with internal stakeholders in customer support, driver ops, and business to develop launch strategy, product messaging and training
Identify external vendors and tools that could be leveraged to improve map data gathering workflows
Collaborate closely with your key customer, map operations, to build products that improve their workflows
Experience
BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
1-3 years of product experience
Successful track record in planning, developing and executing strategy for multiple projects while collaborating cross-functionally
Ability to easily transition from high level strategic thinking to creative and detailed execution.
Solid organization, leadership, team-building, and mentorship experience
Analytical and data-driven, you love digging into the data to understand what’s happening and define & measure success on every project
You have experience leading agile product development teams and are always looking for ways to help them be more effectiveYou’re fluent in English and are a confident communicator
Experience as a software engineer / developer and working with distributed teams are highly desired.
