About the Product Engineering Director Role:
This is a great opportunity for the Product Engineering Director to redevelop group systems and processes. Your main responsibility will be to oversee the process of trial production and standardisation involved.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the process of trial production and standardisation involved in translating a prototype design into mass production, including identifying types of machinery, creating moulds and modules, trouble-shooting technical problems, and so on Act as the contact window with design/prototyping team for technical transfer and integrated workflow and schedule planning Demonstrated expertise in traditional footwear manufacturing processes – injecting, cutting, sewing, welding, machining, laser cutting, construction, prototyping. Excellent understanding of pattern and shoe construction with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement Plan the design trial production. Arrange personnel and allocate resources to help solve technical issues during mass production Supervise industrial engineering, product engineering, chemical engineering, and category commercialisation teams
To succeed in this Product Engineering Director role, you must have the ability to lead effectively and possess a keen understanding of Product Engineering.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor's in Industrial Engineering, Product Engineering, etc. Minimum of 10 years' related work experience with at least five years in shoe manufacturing At least five years' experience in management Excellent English (Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking)
