About the Role
As our Procurement Specialist, you’ll be part of the Jakarta Procurement team that directly liaises with Gojek’s stakeholders in the region. In this role, you'll take the wheel in overseeing the full spectrum of sourcing activity for a wide range of portfolio vendors. You'll work closely with the Country Procurement Head to lead cost reduction and avoidance initiative projects, manage the procurement pipeline, and maintain strong relations with our country vendors. You’ll get ample opportunity to hone your negotiation and people management skills, getting us even closer to our ultimate goal of consistent and efficient earnings stability.
What You Will Do
Support the Country Procurement Head through value creation of cost reduction and cost avoidance initiative projects
Execute Procurement Initiative Pipeline pertaining to managed Spend Category, aligning it with procurement procedures
Lead and ensure the vendor selection process supports business targets
Maintain relationships with country vendors to support Gojek's positioning in the market
Support country procurement to build country’s price catalog (contracted), to strategize country expenditure, and to avoid a repetitive vendor selection process
Achieve provided annual saving target (both Cost Avoidance and Cost Reduction)
Prepare procurement documentation for each sourcing activity
Prepare for Early Procurement Involvement
What You Will Need
A Bachelor’s degree in a related field
At least 5 years of relevant Procurement experience
Excellent people management skills in order to prioritize and handle multiple stakeholders across various levels of seniority
Basic knowledge of Accounting, Finance, and Legal terms
High proficiency with Procurement system modules
Familiarity with the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of Procurement tools is a plus (e.g. Coupa, Ariba)
Prior exposure to General Sourcing activities is a plus
About the Team
Our Procurement team, part of the larger Purchasing team, consists of 14 people based in Indonesia. Working alongside the Finance and Accounting teams, we oversee the establishment and maintenance of stakeholder and vendor relations in the country, as well as manage the provided annual savings budget from our stakeholders within Gojek. Should you have any questions about Procurement issues, strategies, or advice, you know who to come to.
Currently, we're actively sourcing new vendors within the country to support the rapid pace in which our functions and products are growing at Gojek. We're also busy at work on a project that'll streamline our procurement vendor system, in particular.
Working from home has been a strange time for a lot of us, so our team has been taking time on our calls to trade advice on the best ways to keep sane with this new work set up. We're a very close team made up of bookworms, gamers, coffee drinkers, and Netflix watchers. We look out for one another, and work together to get the job done.
