**Your Role and Responsibilities**
This procurement specialty is a core specialty in global procurement sourcing managing IT products, IT services, software, facilities and maintenance and other area of sourcing expertise.
Extensive knowledge of pricing structures and contracting required.
Ability to engage with internal corporate stakeholders, at high levels, is required.
The procurement professional is expected to provide a good communication link with the supplier and IBM and drives to ensure sustainability for both parties.
This skill set includes effective communication at any level, problem determination and problem solving, negotiations, market research and contracting.
The procurement professional is expected to be able to educate the supplier on IBM processes, translate to Supplier the IBM strategy as well as adjust the way we do business with them.
**Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise**:

- Minimum 3 years of working experience in any Sourcing / Commodity knowledge such as Connectivity, IT Products, Services & Maintenance, Services, Software, Facilities Services and Site Maintenance
- Experienced in the use of SAP Ariba is an added advantage though not mandatory.
- Responsible for establishing, executing, and tracking project plans, utilising fundamental project management techniques
- Ability to review Procurement contract and identify supplier clauses that need to be reviewed for further revision
- Has deep industry knowledge of the commodity being sourced is required along with data and benchmarking insight
- Able to manages and develops relationship with IBM suppliers, business unit and customer
