**About this role**
This role will be required to undertake mechanical design for major projects and produce drawings and reports in line with M&E specifications.
- You will be involved in small and medium sized projects, as well as being a key member of larger project groups which include design, technical documentation, cost estimates, tender submissions, project scheduling and meeting deadlines and budget.
**What will I do?
**
- Undertake concept and detailed Mechanical design for major projects and produce drawings and reports in line with local specifications.
- Actively assist senior members to identify and pursue new project opportunities in the local and regional markets around your area of expertise.
- You will be involved as an individual contributor on small and medium sized projects, as well as being a key member of larger project groups.
- This includes design, technical documentation, cost estimates, tender submissions, project scheduling and meeting deadlines and budgets.
- Participate in BIM coordination to assist to implement the project BIM execution plan and providing hands on M&E design for range of projects and design calculations.
**What will I bring?
**
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with minimum 3 to 4 years years of relevant experience in mechanical Engineering in Building projects
- Be able to design and deliver solutions on projects with a good working knowledge of relevant local regulations, codes of practice and guidelines.
- Able to demonstrate strong design ability and engineering skills and knowledge.
- Working to obtain Registered Engineer Certificate (STRI) and relevant Professional Competency Certificate (SKA Muda or SKK Level 7 or higher)
- Developing skills in an area that is 'emerging' in Arup or which is highly specialized, e.g.
Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Environmentally Sustainable Design (ESD), Smart Buildings, etc.
