As a Material Requirement Planning Analyst at Caterpillar Indonesia Batam, you will be part of Assurance of Supply team to have an opportunity to collaborates with suppliers to ensure execution to planned orders and schedules and resolves issues with suppliers to ensure material availability for facility production in Batam.
You will work with the transportation team, logistic, facility production schedulers and operations personnel to support facility production and point of use material availability. You will also ensure alignment of facility inventory accuracy and inventory systems planning parameters with the plan for every part to maintain planning integrity. And finally, as assurance of supply team you will work with Asia Pacific Team and all related parties in resolving all invoice griefs accordance to Caterpillar standard.
As the Material Requirement Planning Analyst, you will:
Ensure the timely delivery of materials to the facility, collaborating with suppliers to coordinate deliveries, shipping schedules and work schedules to meet facility production plans. Using supplier collaboration technologies, collaborates with suppliers and operations to plan delivery of material for production.
Actively collaborates with suppliers to perform root cause corrective actions to resolve quality and supplier performance issues. This work may require planning for alternate manufacturing methods and requires the ability to communicate effectively across multiple functions both in and outside of the company.
Analyses established parts schedules and production requirements, converting requirements into appropriate piece parts, requisitioning the materials, regulating inventory levels and issuing work orders.
Works closely with facility supply chain planning resources to proactively address material requirements changes resulting from new product introduction and engineering / product change control. Analyses engineering releases for changes and/or new releases and coordinates effective release dates to provide an efficient depletion of related existing stock items.
Manage and performs supplier scheduling and implementation of engineering changes for the efficient manufacture of products and components.
Works with facility supply chain performance resources to implement supplier improvements based on supplier performance metrics.
Perform work to improve point of use material availability and may provide root cause analysis and corrective actions to improve material availability and point of use availability.
Provides Material Planning expertise to facility functions in support of improving demand variability, forecast credibility and usability for production planning, and actively supports facility Sales and Operations Planning.
The successful candidate must bring :
College or university degree or equivalent, preferably in Supply Chain and/or Logistics Management or Industrial Engineering.
A background in Supply Chain, Manufacturing / Operations, Inventory Management, Material Requirements Planning, Demand Management and/or Logistics.
Minimum of 4 year of progressively responsible supply chain job experience especially in Material Planning or Buyer.
Basic knowledge of 6 Sigma.
In-depth understanding of SAP and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
Requires problem-solving skills to solve common problems.
Top candidates will also bring:
APICS, CPIM, or CSPC National Certification.
Knowledge of standard supply chain systems.
Must possess strong collaborative, interpersonal and communication skills to effectively work across functions to perform work deploying supply chain improvements.
Must be a strong team player in order to be effective in deploying supply chain improvements as part of a team.
Must possess understanding of manufacturing and operations standard processes and basic product knowledge.
Ability to analyze business conditions and situations during deployment needed to minimize disruption to daily requirements.
