Manufacturing Operations Director

Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group’s Industrial Division is recruiting on behalf of an established Multinational Company that specializes in manufacturing electronics. Our esteemed client has a large-scaled operation in Malaysia which is accountable for a significant portion of global exports.

The successful candidate will manage several manufacturing plants, overseeing several plant managers and all operations in Malaysia. The successful candidate will be required to drive productivity, efficiency and new technology integration into the plants in Malaysia.

Job responsibilities:
Review and develop integrated manufacturing operations for Malaysia Lead and direct the manufacturing functions to ensure all operational resources and activities meet our business goals and they are conducted in accordance with relevant health, safety, environmental and quality standards Review, streamline and enhance operations workflows, processes, methods and controls to enable continuous improvement in productivity, quality and cost effectiveness Monitor and keep track of industry, market and technology trends to maintain and constantly upgrade our product quality, production capabilities and technical applications Build and develop a safety and continuous improvement culture for the whole Campus Train and develop a team of committed managers and professionals to support business growth and talent development
Job requirements:
Bachelor or Master Degree in Operations Management / Manufacturing / Engineering or related disciplines Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in sizeable organizations or MNCs Proven track record in leading manufacturing operations with strong business results Strong business acumen, analytical thinking and financial sense Excellent leadership, communication and change management skills Knowledge about Theory of Constraints (TOC), Continuous Flow Manufacturing (CFM), Lean Management and Six Sigma will be advantageous Stationing in Malaysia is required
