**Job Description Summary**: Role Summary/Purpose
The Field Service Operations Specialist is the focal point for driving implementation of systems, tools and processes to ensure continuous improvement through diligent data capture and utilization.
In this role, you will provide daily support to Resource Managers and APAC Field Services Leader in forecasting, planning and assignment of resources across the region.
You will serve as the expert in use of Field time, Smax, NEX and Tableau and through data, analytical and decision-making skills to fulfill resource requirements, oversee and maintain all required data related to Vouchering, Resource assignment, Resource Utilization, training and development of Field Engineers as well as tracking key operational and business KPIs around Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost, aiming to enhance regional and global readiness to serve.
The APAC Field Service Leader will be your people leader.
**What we'll expect from you**
- Coordinate with Operations Team, Customer Service Leaders, Outage Managers and Resource Manager to understand regional Field Services, On Site Support and Tooling yearly volume requirements.
- Drive data consistency and data integrity through use of existing systems and by close collaboration with regional Operations Team.
- Leverage Daily Management strategies to maintain an up-to-date record of Field Engineers and OSS capabilities, training plan and yearly assignment schedule for APAC outages
- Work closely with Resource Managers and Sourcing to Team to identify more effective ways to leverage Field Engineer, OSS and Craft resources as well as tooling from GE Steam Power APAC and other businesses i:e GE Gas Power, GE Steam Power, FieldCore and third party suppliers.
- Leverage your analytical skills to identify continuous improvement opportunities in Field Services
- Leverage Lean tools to drive continuous improvement across Field Services organization.
- Drive sourcing to work with local, approved businesses to reduce cost and maximize flexibility during resource utilization
- Ability and willingness to work holidays, weekends and extra hours as required by field assignments
- Ability to travel including internationally
**You bring a strong background**
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business Management from an accredited university or college
- Minimum of five years' operations, Resource Management, project management, or product management experience including quality, technical, administrative, financial and contractual
- English proficiency required
