A multinational FMCG company is looking for an Industrial Relations Manager based in Malang, East Java.
In this job, you will establish constructive relationships between stakeholders (both internally and externally) and enhance the management and labour knowledge or IR related issues.
About the Industrial Relations Manager Role:
In this business critical role you will have a core focus on industrial relations, supporting the development and delivery of employee relations strategies. The role is responsible for building constructive relationships between stakeholders (both internally and externally) and to enhance the management and labour knowledge or IR related issue. The role focuses on three dimensions; compliance, employee relations and external relations.
Key Responsibilities:
Build constructive relationships between all stakeholders both internally and externally
Actively create good working relationships with unions and union officials
Facilitate and maintain good working relationship with relevant government bodies, other industry bodies and external parties
Facilitate the implementation of regular meetings between management and labour
Gain buy-in on important business decisions
Monitor internal and external labour relations trends and submit relevant reports to management
Coordinate the implementation of employee programmes and employee relations
Communicate, distribute and implement changes to all employees

Enhance management and labour knowledge on IR related issues
Review and revise company regulations/Peraturan Perusahaan (PP), Collective Labour Agreement (CLA) and labour related policies and procedures
Dispute settlement
Review investigation reports from the internal team and identify the breach/violation of related policies or procedures and provides recommended disciplinary action based on IR guidelines and practices
Conduct company retrenchment consultation and implementation in compliance with the law

Wage Review

In this Industrial Relations Manager role, you must be robust, motivated and determined, and have a clear passion for the area with the ability to operate successfully in a complex business. A high calibre individual with energy, resilience and strong relationship management ability who will bring ideas and experience of new ways of doing things.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor's/master's degree from relevant programmes (human resource, business administration, psychology, legal, etc.) from top notch university
Willing to work in Malang (East Java, Indonesia)
Minimum of five to seven years of experience in IR and generalist scope
Experience handling labour unions and understanding of labour law
Used to dealing with both blue collars and white collars
Demonstrated success in leading and managing individuals and teams
Strong organisational skills in strategy, communication at all levels and execution
Strong leadership skills. Ability to lead, contribute, and influence others in a team-based organisation
Understanding of applicable computer systems, such as Microsoft Office and function specific software
Excellent organisational and people skills, project management skills, with an ability to openly convey information to team members in a timely, concise manner
