OverviewLouis Berger Services, a WSP Company, is currently looking for a qualified High Voltage Distribution Manager to fill a full time opportunity at our project location at the Guantanamo Bay Naval Station, Cuba.Responsibilities Major duties and responsibilities: + Serve under the direction of Project Manager to operate and maintain high voltage distribution network and power plant equipment; + Promote and maintain safety following established safe work practices and procedures; + Train electrical teams and line crews to perform routine installation maintenance, and repairs on high voltage switchgear, distribution networks, or diesel power generators; + Locate and rectify faults on the overhead and/or underground high voltage networks during power interruptions; + Lead electrical teams or line crews to perform routine installation maintenance, and repairs on high voltage switchgear, distribution networks, or diesel power generators; + Work on power cables, transformers, insulators, and control equipment such as switches, circuit breakers, and panels. This includes collecting transformer oil samples that are tested for contamination as well as cleaning up contaminated sites; - Install and connect transformers and make hot taps and splices; - Install underground cable, conduit, and ductwork. Install transformers; string lights and power wires on cross arms and through ducts and manholes; make electrical connections; and splice cables; - Erect and replace poles; perform rigging on high voltage motors, transformers, and compressors; - Use and maintain various hand and power tools of the trade; and - May operate aerial trucks and associated equipment. + Inform the Vectrus Area Manager, Site Manager and QA/QC Manager of the location of a failure, possible cause, and repairs required on the Distribution Network; + Ensure correct testing and isolation procedures are followed before working on de-energized High Voltage Networks or Switchgear; + Execute the company's policy and procedure for proper and efficient operation of the power plants and distribution network in NS Guantanamo Bay; + Responsible for maintaining and updating the Operations Action Plan (OAP). Update the OAP plans according to the task order site specific requirements. Receive feedback from on-site staff and the operations manager prior to submitting the plans to the Government. Provide daily, weekly and monthly reports as required by the OAP. + Represent LB Power at conferences, negotiations, other meetings in the field and be able to speak authoritatively while recognizing the limitations of your own professional knowledge and credentials; + Review and approve all subcontractors and suppliers invoices prior to submitting to the Operations Manager. Coordinate all of the required submittals with the on-site government technical representative and seek approval prior to submitting to the Operations Manager. + Consult with Vectrus and military representatives to plan comprehensive camp safety programs and evacuation procedures in case of emergency; + Maintain constant awareness of available resources including: personnel, space, equipment, and funding; + Execute the company's policy and procedure for proper and efficient operation of the power plants in NS Guantanamo Bay; + Plan and coordinate with the Project Manager the storage, transport and procurement of equipment and supplies required for execution at various sites. + Institute management controls to assure all on-site staff are carryout their duties with the highest degree of quality, accountability, and integrity and within the code of conduct required by the U.S. military; + Report in writing any issues to the Project Manager which could impact the project or the company, as the accountable Area Manager for Louis Berger. + As directed by the Project or Operations Manager.
