About the Head of Retail Operations Role:
Reporting to the GM Retail, you will manage, develop, evaluate and mentor staff, providing leadership and guidance in goal setting, problem solving, resource management and outcome achievement.
Key Responsibilities:
Leads, coaches, and retains high-performing retail managers with an emphasis on developing capacity and succession planning
Develops and implements multi-year Retail Operations strategic plan; targeting annual growth to meet the organisation's long-term financial projections. Develops and implements measures to monitor progress towards goals and objectives regularly
Build organisational and staff capacity, develop processes that ensure that Retail Operations run smoothly and establish an environment that promotes teamwork across the diverse aspects of the program’s functions
Ensures recruitment, hiring and training of retail management staff as necessary to successfully address the business requirements
Responsible for all aspects of Profit and Loss management, budgeting, procurement and retain inventory
Identifies and initiates opportunities to reduce expenses and create increased operational efficiencies. Responsible for strategic approach to assess and determine existing and emergent technologies that can enhance and positively impact the growth of Retail Operations.
Builds and maintains appropriate relations with vendors, landlords, business partners, and community liaisons ensuring Retail Operations positive presence and reputation
Fosters a collaborative and supportive relationship between the Retail Operations and the entire organisation
Establishes and implements operational policies, standards and procedures as well as training programs for retail staff
Ensures compliance with all safety and security policies and procedures within retail stores
To succeed in this Head of Retail Operations role, you must have proven track record of leading sales team to achieve or exceed sales targets.
Key Requirements
Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Management, BA or similar relevant field
Minimum of 10 years' experience in the retail industry with minimum of five years' experience in the omnichannel retail industry
Strong people management and analytical skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
