About the Group Marketing Director (Based in Cambodia) Role:
Reporting to the Group President, you will be based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia and be an integral part of the senior management team. You will formulate strategies to support a wide portfolio of businesses and develop creative means to serve differentiated markets ranging from direct to indirect customers depending on the products and services offered in each business unit. The Group Marketing Director is also responsible for providing supervision and support to ensure overall functional effectiveness, operational excellence, profit maximisation, and achievement of targeted market share and coverage.
Key Responsibilities:
Determine and communicate strategic directions to each business unit, establish performance evaluation criteria, and ensure effective collaboration to deliver targeted results
Formulate and monitor all business unit's marketing campaigns to ensure operational excellence and alignment with functional objectives
Evaluate market reactions and generate ongoing measurement of performance effectiveness to optimise campaign results
Lead the marketing team in each business unit in the research, analysis, and consolidation of marketing information
Lead the development of functional business plans for all business units which may include, but not limited to; past performance reviews, milestones achieved, new business opportunities discovered, forward action steps and allocation of responsibilities to business units
Identify areas of improvement and recommend changes in the marketing structure of the group and its business units in accordance with the changing market trends and demands
Propose strategies and initiatives with established key success factors that are aligned with group’s vision and mission
Supervise the budget planning of marketing activities and monitor expenditure of each business units
Conduct variance analysis and consolidate information to identify best practices and areas of improvement
To succeed in the Group Marketing Director role, you must have at least 15 years of experience in marketing, product and brand management, channel marketing, or a related area with at least 10 years in a senior management level role.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, advertising or a related field. Master’s degree in a related field is preferred
Proven track record in planning, development and implementation of marketing strategies at sizeable organisations
Experience managing a wide portfolio of products in different sector
Extensive marketing experience with an international FMCG company is a must
Knowledge of all aspects in demand generation, integrated marketing strategy and marketing performance
Knowledge of marketing research and analysis, qualitative and quantitative research
Strong leadership, analytical, planning and organisation skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to think creatively, use data to inform decisions, multitask, prioritise, and manage timely changes
Ability to work under pressure
