Summary:
The ASPCA Foster Program has an urgent need for logistical and communication support during our peak season of operation. The Foster Liaison will support the program by securing placement of kittens in fosters homes, arranging transportation for kittens, scheduling routine vaccination and spay/neuter appointments for foster caregivers and fulfilling foster supply requests. This position is temporary and will conclude in October.

The ASPCA Foster Program provides temporary care for felines ranging from at-risk newborn kittens to adult cats needing extra support finding adoption outlets. You’ll be working with a high-performing staff and volunteer team providing care for +/- 2500 at-risk felinesper year.

The Foster Liaison – Temporary (Foster Liaison) provides consistent communication with foster caregivers and logistical support to the ASPCA Foster Program. To succeed in this role, the Foster Liaison will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as strong organizational skills.

Schedule will be Tuesday through Saturday from 9:30am to 6:30pm and requires working remotely.

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Logistical Support 50%
Coordinate timely ride share and contract driver transports for kittens moving into foster homes and other transport requests as needed
Ensure appropriate supplies and reorders are distributed to foster volunteers in a timely manner
Complete administrative tasks including organizing receipts and foster database maintenance

Foster Communication 50%
Secure foster placement for eligible kittens within 24 hours by communicating professionally and efficiently with foster volunteers
Respond to text messages, emails, and phone calls from foster caregivers in a timely manner
Collaborate with medical team and intake sources to identify appropriate foster for eligible kittens
Provide information to foster caregivers specific to the felines they are receiving
Follow-up with foster caregivers regarding next appointments following foster care placement

Ability to accurately work with detailed information in paper and computerized formats, Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team that works remotely, Demonstrates care and concern for the safety and well-being of self, animals and others, especially during stressful situations, Eager to learn and grow through feedback, coaching and training, Effective and professional written and verbal communication skills, Excellent interpersonal skills; authentic team player, Experience and comfort in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities

Language:

Education and Work Experience:
High School Diploma (Required)
Must have one to three years’ experience in logistical support in a fast-paced environment
